Home Report

A Home report is a required document for marketing your residential property in Scotland. It is a three part document with a single survey, the Energy Report and a Mortgage valuation. This must be carried out by a qualified chartered surveyor who is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

The Scottish Government introduced Home Reports in 2008 to allow a fairer system whilst buying a property. It allows purchasers essential information on the properties condition prior to purchase. This means there should be no nasty surprises after purchase.
